Jason’s Chest and Triceps Workout

Incline Barbell Press 225 | TheMuscleProgram.comMy workouts have been slightly inconsistent this week with the holiday season and I’ve also been fighting a cold. But I wanted to get in the gym this morning and at least do something. I always feel better when I’m working out, even if I’m a little under the weather.

That being said I didn’t expect to get a lot from this morning’s chest and triceps workout; my plan was to just go through the motions. It was more or less a maintenance workout. However, I ended up walking out with a solid pump.

Chest and Triceps

Incline Barbell Press: 4 sets x 10 reps

Close Grip Bench Press: 4 sets x 8 reps

Incline Dumbbell Flyes: 4 sets x 10 reps

Hammer Strength Bench Press: 3 sets x 20 reps

Rope Extensions: 3 sets x 12 reps

Dips: 3 sets x 20 reps

I didn’t go as heavy as I could have on most exercises but I made sure I got what I feel is adequate volume for sets and reps. I also sort of mixed triceps in with chest by doing close grip bench press as my second exercise. And I ended with dips which works the chest and triceps almost equally. I felt a lot better than I expected from this workout even though I don’t feel that I went all out.
