Supersetting Incline with Flat Bench Press

I’m on this superset trip lately, and adding in some rest pause sets as well. I started out this morning’s chest workout the same way I did last week; supersetting incline bench with bench press. And these weren’t done on machines.

Superset + Rest Pause Chest Workout

Incline Bench Press: 4 x 12-15
superset with
Bench Press: 4 x 7-10

Decline Bench Press: 4 x 12
superset with
Cable Crossovers: 4 x 10-12

Hammer Strength Incline Press: rest-pause x 75

As you can see the supersets didn’t stop at incline and flat bench. I continue with supersets for decline bench press and cable crossovers. In the end I decided to hit an extended rest pause set for Hammer Strenth Incline Press. The goal was 10 second rest between sets until I hit 75 total reps.

I also hit some triceps and abs after chest. I also used a combination of supersets and rest pause sets for these. After that it was cardio time. I’m now mentally preparing for tomorrow’s leg day!

P.S. – I’m currently taking my Instant Knockout in my supplement plan. Most of you know I’m not a big fan of fat burners. But I have noticed a different in my physique with Instant Knockout.     I am 59 have lost about 80lb sence last Christmas but all the sudden am getting weaker work out 5 to 7 times a week only hitting each part two times legs only one time
    Trying to get to 400 on dead lift have been to 335 but gong down last two weeks.
    Help if you can

    • Thank you for being a part of my site! 335 is a solid deadlift! I think you may need a little more rest. Maybe hit each muscle once a week. And even try training 4 days a week. This will give you more time to recover. Then gradually go back to 5 days. I wouldnt do anymore than that though.
