10×10 Leg Workout

This is a week of German Volume Training for me. If you read Monday’s back workout blog post, you’ll see that I’m doing 10 sets of 10 reps for everything. I’m already a fan of high volume training for legs so this method fits in perfect.

German Volume Training – Legs

Leg Press (close foot stance):
10 x 10

Leg Press (regular stance):
10 x 10

Plate-Loaded Squats:
10 x 10

Leg Extensions:
10 x 10

Lying Leg Curls:
10 x 10

Seated Calve Raises:
10 x 10

Leg Press WorkoutI use the word ‘brutal‘ a lot when I’m talking about my leg workouts, and this one was nothing short of that. Essentially, I ended up doing 20 sets of leg press (I count the different foot placements as separate exercises as the inner hits a different part of your quads).

I used the 10 x 10 German Volume Training method of chest yesterday (sorry, I did not post this). I must say my back and chest are sore right now, and I expect the same feeling in my quads and hams over the next few days. I still did my cardio afterwards.
