Muscle Building Supplement Stack: What I’m Taking in October 2017

It’s that time of the month again. No, not THAT time of the month! Lol.

I’m sharing my October 2017 muscle building supplement stack. As usual, you’ll see the basics in there but I’m introducing a new product to my supplement regimen.

Many of you saw my post and review on EBN Sports Herculin MRF-4. There’s another product from the EBN that I recently started taking called Black Betas. I’ll talk more about that below, but here’s my current muscle building supplement stack.

Oct 2017 Muscle Building Supplements

Dymatize Elite Whey Protein Powder

This has been a staple in my supplement regimen for many years now. I’ve tried other protein powders but I’ve always reverted back to Dymatize. I sometimes get their All Natural version.

I take Dymatize Elite Whey Protein post workout, between lunch and dinner and sometimes before bed. The first two times I take it, the whey it mixed with other foods (ex: post workout shake is two scoops of Dymatize Whey, almond milk, banana, and blueberries). Before bed, I’ll just take a coop mixed with water.

Scivation Xtend BCAAs

Xtend has been another staple in my supplement stacks for a while now. It’s a straight-forward BCAA (branched chain amino acid) formula and it includes glutamine. This is my favorite amino acid and recovery supplement.

I take two servings of Xtend during my workouts. One is in the beginning and the other is during my post workout cardio, which is a brisk walk on the treadmill (this is also the time I spend learning the Thai language; I call it my ‘Learn and Burn’ time).

Universal Nutrition Animal Pak

Yet another tried and true supplement you’ll see in my supplement stacks pretty much year-around. Animal Pak is a potent vitamin and mineral formula. I’m sure it’s a bit excessive, but I look at it as assurance. Not to mention, if I go off of it, I feel better overall when I start taking it again.

This is a new pre workout supplement I’m trying this month. And so far, I’m impressed. It has your standard Beta Alanine, Caffeine Anhydrous, Theanine, Citrulline, and some other goodies. I’ve been taking a rounded scoop (a little over a serving size) on my workout days. So far, it’s been very consistent. You can look for a review on that soon.

Pro Series Black Betas

Black Betas is a blend of Phosphorus, Sodium Potassium, and Beta Alanine. The company sent this to me to try, so I’ve been taking this twice a day starting this week. It’s said to increase lean muscle growth, fat metabolism, and energy. I haven’t been talking this long enough to form an opinion, so give me another month  or so and I’ll share my results.

Muscle Building Supplements

That’s it for my muscle building supplement stack. It’s basic for the most part. I don’t get too fancy because I don’t like wasting money on a bunch of stuff just for the sake of taking more stuff! Us gym rats are good at that. I stick to a minimum of what works.

Train with Passion,
