I put pre-workout supplements in 3 categories; 1) pre-workout supplements that do absolutely nothing for me, as if I didn’t take anything at all, 2) pre-workout supplements that work for a few days but then the effects diminish, and 3) pre-workout supplements that grant consistent results and never fail me. For me, most pre-workout supplements fall into category 2. However, Nutrex Hemo Rage Black Ultra Concentrated one of the small hand-full of pre-workout supplements that fall into category 3 for me.
I’m going to sound like a supplement rep (I’m not) but this stuff has worked, and worked great, every single time I’ve used it. One of my workout partners had been pushing Hemo Rage on me for a while but for whatever reason I just never got around to trying it. I was already taking a really good pre-workout supplement, Animal Rage from Universal Nutrition which I still alternate. I was almost out of Animal Rage to I decided to pick up what my buddy had been raving about. I tried my first scoop of Hemo Rage Black on leg day and was quite amazed at the energy and pumps I had. I’ve been sold since because as I stated earlier, this stuff has been consistent every workout.
What’s in and what is Hemo Rage Black?
This is the ultra concentrated version of Nutrex Hemo Rage Black. It’s advertised as being stronger than any other pre workout product on the market, post ephedra and post DMAA, without the crash. Hemo Rage Black consists of a proprietary blend of 6,870.1 mg with creatine monohydrate being the first ingredient. This is followed by L-Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate, beta alanine, taurine, caffeine anhydrous, 1, 3 dimethylamylamine, and Huperzine A.
My Use/Dosage of Hemo Rage Black
I started out with just one level scoop of Nutrex Hemo Rage but I soon started doing a rounded scoop. I’ve never had to take any more than a rounded scoop. I only took Hemo Rage Black on workout days before my workout.
My Experience with Hemo Rage Black
As I note in most all of my pre-workout supplement reviews, I train at 5AM and take a scoop of whey protein upon waking. Right after that is when I take Hemo Rage Black Ultra Concentrated. I’ve gotten tremendous pumps but more notably is my energy levels and mental focus during my workouts. I also feel the effects for several hours afterwards yet I’ve never crashed. I think most pre-workout manufacturers are pretty good at making supplements that you don’t crash from because that was such a huge problem with many of the earlier pre-workout and energy supplements.
Pros: Nutrex Hemo Rage Black does pretty much what is claims to do. You get the pumps, the energy and the mental focus to train with all-out intensity. You don’t have to take several scoops as you do with many other pre-workout supplements. This is a huge plus in my book.
Cons: If there’s anything I would add to Hemo Rage Black, it would be a BCAA complex.
At the time of writing this review, I’m on my third or fourth tub of Nutrex Hemo Rage Black Ultra Concentrated and it’s in my supplement regimen as we speak (or rather, as I’m typing this review). I usually keep two pre-workout supplements on deck because I feel no matter how great a product works for you, your body may get used to it over time, especially supplements with stimulants. So right now I’m alternating Nutrex Hemo Rage Black with Universal’s Animal Rage every few days. This method has been working great for me.
Another thing I like about Hemo Rage Black is it contains creatine monohydrate. I like to see the old school creatine in supplements because it’s one of the few proven supplements out there. It’s worked since it became popular in the early 90’s, and it still works the same today as it did then. After having such great results from Hemo Rage Black I’m incline to try out some more Nutrex supplements soon.
