Welcome to my review on the new Hyper Gain Black from ASR. With the powerful effects of the original Hyper Gain I was actually a little skeptical about a new version of it. the original Hyper Gain has had a solid reputation for many years among strength training athletes and bodybuilders. So I wondered what they could have possibly added. Sometimes you can screw up a good product in the attempt to make it better.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with ASR supplements, they’re an independent supplement company that manufacturers and distributes their own products. This is reassuring to me because with many supplements you have no clue where the ingredients are coming from or where they’re being manufactured. ASR is famous for the original Hyper Gain formula containing Kre-Alkalyn.
There are 3 areas of focus in Hyper Gain Black. The prominent features are the powerful combination of 2 potent forms of creatine. Like the original Hyper Gain formula, Hyper Gain Black still contains Kre-Alkalyn. But this new formula also includes Creatine MagnaPower which is another pH buffered creatine designed to give you explosive power and strength gains.
There are also ingredients that supports skin tearing pumps and mental focus that you find in many popular pre workout supplements. Lastly, Hyper Gain Black also supports increased growth hormone production. All this being said, Hyper Gain Black could replace your current creatine supplement, pre workout, and GH booster if you’re taking any of those.
This Hyper Gain Black review is based on 1 bottle, which is a 30 day supply. I took one serving daily as the label recommends. On my workout days I took Hyper Gain Black with my pre workout supplement first thing in the morning (I train early mornings). On my non-training days I took a serving upon waking before breakfast.
The first effect I noticed with Hyper Gain Black is I had more sustainable muscle energy during my workouts. This is a similar effect I get with branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), which I did not take during this time. In fact, I laid off some of my normal supplements so I could get a better idea of how I would respond to Hyper Gain Black. I also cut the dose of my pre workout in half.
I experienced noticeable strength gains during the second week of taking Hyper Gain Black. My explosive power was increasing and I was able to pump out more reps. Workout intensity also seemed to be enhanced. All of this led to some decent muscle gains. My goal is building and shaping the muscle, not so much gaining strength. Of course those all go hand in hand.
My first question when this product came out was ‘what’s the difference between the original Hyper Gain formula and the new Hyper Gain Black?’ I was relieved to find the new version contains Kre-Alkalyn. But the major difference is the new Hyper Gain Black throws in another creatine supplement known as the trademark name Creatine MagnaPower. I personally have always liked the combination of creatines rather than just one type. The other additions are the growth hormone boosting effects and the increased mental focus and pumps (I throw those last 2 together because the ingredients used in Hyper Gain Black enhance both).
The original formula contains an old school testosterone boosting herb, Tribulus Terrestris. Hyper Gain Black does not contain this. Tribulus is somewhat outdated and I’ve known some that respond well to it while others do not. I believe most have the latter experience with Tribulus supplements, so no real loss there. Two other major ingredients in Hyper Gain Black that’s not found in the original Hyper Gain are Agmatine Sulfate and Alpha-Size A-GPC. These are the ingredients responsible for the extreme pumps and mental focus.
As with the original Hyper Gain formula, there are no illegal or banned substances in Hyper Gain Black. You will find a potent combination of creatines as well as the ingredients we talked about earlier that help naturally increase growth hormone production. I can’t stress enough that we’re not talking about a synthetic means of boosting GH levels. This is not a steroid, nor is it human-grade growth hormone. So don’t expect such results. However, these ingredients can indeed help you get that extra edge in the sense of increasing your natural GH levels. Here’s a closer look at the Hyper Gain Black label:
> Magnesium from Creatine MagnaPower
> Kre-Alkalyn pH Correct Creatine
> Agmatine Sulfate
> Creatine MagnaPower
> Alpha-Size A-GPC (Alpha-Glyceryl Phosphoryl Choline
> Safed Musli
> Glycine Propionyl L-Carnitine
> Vanadyl Sulfate
The Hyper Gain Black label instructs you to take 4 capsules 45 minutes prior to your workout. You can take it first thing in the morning on your off days as it’s suggested to take it everyday to keep creatine levels elevated. There’s no instructions in regards to taking Hyper Gain Black with or without food so I assume either is fine. Remember, the types of creatines in this supplement do not require carbohydrates.
Like the original Hyper Gain formula, the new Hyper Gain Black proves to be a worthy supplement. I like the fact that you can replace several supplements with this one supplement. It saves you money in the long run. It’s also a great pre workout supplement if you’re looking for something without stimulants. If you prefer the stims you could throw in a couple caffeine pills or cup of coffee. The creatine combination in Hyper Gain Black is probably the greatest and most potent feature in this product. There’s no bloating or cramping, no need to load it, and no need for carbs/sugars.
Let’s be real about natural growth hormone inhibitors. There are many supplements that claim to boost testosterone and GH levels. Most of them simply don’t work. As I stated above, Hyper Gain Black does not contain any synthetic substances that will drastically increase growth hormone. The ingredients are natural and based on research and the experience of some, they may help increase your natural growth hormone production. You can expect results from Hyper Gain Black, but be realistic at the same time.
Hyper Gain Black is definitely something I’ll take again. I had taken the original Hyper Gain formula several times before this new one came out. Now, another question you may ask is does the new formula grant dramatic results over the original Hyper Gain? In all honestly, I did not see a tremendous difference between the two Hyper Gains. The biggest difference I noticed was I was able to do away with my other pre workout supplement while I was on Hyper Gain Black. That alone saved me about $30-40. Other than that, my results were about the same with Hyper Gain Black as with the original formula.
