One of the challenges we face when buying supplements is we may not always understand what’s in them. Some supplement labels have a long list of ingredients and others may list ingredients we’re unaware of. The bottom line is we need to know what we’re putting into our bodies. So I’ve created this pages for supplement ingredients and definitions.
Below you’ll find a chart which lists several ingredients along with their definition, focus, and best times to take. The ingredients I’m listing are fairly common in supplements. On that note, I will actively update my supplement ingredients and definitions page from time to time.
One thing I want to point out is not all supplement ingredients are created equal. What I mean by that is in regards to the quality of the ingredients. Things like where they come from, how they are extracted, and the production process all must be considered.
It’s extremely difficult to know right off-hand whether or not the supplement ingredients you see on the label are indeed effective. This is why it’s so important to do your own research on not only the supplement ingredients, but the supplement companies as well. Read up on how they manufacture their products. Study the effective dosages of specific ingredients. Make sure you know what you’re putting in your body. On that note, you can check out all of my supplement reviews here.
